#430048 Remapping My Slow Focus!?!

Posted by luke.grimbley on 20 November 2014 - 06:14 PM

How much is that roughly?

Sent from my iPhone using Ford OC

How much is what? If you do want to remap you would be better to perform any other modifications first i.e. air filter, exhaust, new injectors. This will allow the remap to make more power over stock.

#429638 2.0 Mk2 Focus Engine Upgrades Help

You should start a build thread. Would be interested to see how it goes and I'm sure others on here would be too.

Not done it myself but if you remove the glove box you will get a good idea. That's where all the electrics come in as well as the air for the HVAC. Should be somewhere there you can drill.

Best thing to do would be buy a length of hose with the right inside diameter and cut it to fit.

#422729 Only One Reversing Light !

Posted by luke.grimbley on 25 October 2014 - 03:57 PM

What's wrong with one reverse light? You're never going to see it unless someone else drives your car so why is it a big deal?

Reversing at night up dark lanes etc. Not a problem if there's street lights but for me at least the reverse lights are essential.

Get the left hard drive reverse. Modify it to fit 2 bulbs and wire in reverse at both sides. Works a treat :)

Those look much better. They were wrecked before.

#421140 Dash Cam Mounting - Mk2/2.5 Focus

Posted by luke.grimbley on 20 October 2014 - 06:18 PM

Reading this and I'm shocked how cheap these installs are. I always thought the camera alone would run you about £100! £40 for a whole install is good enough for me to consider a dash cam more seriously.

#415372 Video: Police In Unmarked Car With Speed Camera.....caught!

Posted by luke.grimbley on 01 October 2014 - 05:23 PM

Don't understand why people hassle the police, they are doing their job. In relation to the video, what the police were doing had nothing to do with the cameraman. Weather the police are high viz or not doesn't change the fact you are speeding.

I'm not saying I'm perfect, I'll admit I get carried away with the right foot, but if I was stopped I would admit to it and not hassle people who are merely doing their job.

That said, I personally feel the reason people speed is that speed limits are being made ridiculously low for many roads.

#414788 Window Tinting Front Windows.

Posted by luke.grimbley on 29 September 2014 - 06:09 PM

The front windscreen must let at least 75% of light through and the front side windows must let at least 70% of light through. In other words, maximum 25% tint on the front and 30% on the side front.

Most cars are 20-30% from the factory so any tint will likely make them illegal.

#414211 Photo Location Game

And what lesson have we learnt?

That's right...

If you drive by something and think "Huh...that would be a cool* and unusual thing to photgraph with my car!" You should do it - it's probably going to end up on this thread at some point

*friends/relatives/other passengers may have a different understanding of cool

This is exactly the problem. I constantly get "Stop taking photos of your car" or " You love the car more than me" :P
