#512238 Ford Owners Club Dealer Survey 2015

Posted by jamesm182 on 14 August 2015 - 02:00 PM

Hi. I noticed your post was in April. I have completed the survey for a couple of my local dealers, but was wondering what the expected timeframe is for collating results?  It would be interesting to see what other dealers are like.

Thanks for taking part in the survey. The survey is for 2015 and we have quite a lot of data to sift through with so many UK Ford dealers, but we're hoping to release the results by the end of the year  :)

Indeed.
So when are you getting your new ST then? :D

Not imminently unfortunately, but I wouldn't rule it out in the future.

Having said that, I could easily be swayed into a MK2 RS and keeping it for many years also...  B)

Heated steering wheels are for wimps with mo blood in their veins ;)

Definitely not necessary... but a nice touch of luxury none the less!  ;)

How did you find the journey to and from Silverstone with regards the seats?

This is going to be my first car with full leather seats and while they are heated for winter, I'm a bit bothered about sweaty back syndrome in summer, lol.

Already have a reflective sunshade for the windscreen, to hopefully stop the seats getting too scalding in the sun...

It was quite a warm day and I'm not going to lie I did get a very slightly sweaty back for a little bit until the air con cooled me down but not to the point that it bothered me.

It's a shame Ford didn't offer ventilated seats too as that is always a nice feature although they would have had to go with perforated leather to achieve that.

The seats are fairly heavily bolstered and quite solid but I'm sure you're aware of that. Personally I did like them and find them comfortable but I encountered a couple of people who thought that the bolstering was too much. I think this party depends on your size/shape but also on what you are used to.

Time is not moving fast enough at the moment, lol.

Good review though, and nice to see lots of decent pics. So many "professional" automotive sites have such boring photos in their review, they are like stock photos.

I like shots that give you an idea of what it is really like, I can look at the brochure for poser photos...

I know what you mean regarding "professional photos". There's so many reviews I read where I just wish they had some "proper" photos of bits I want to see...

Great to see everyone at the FOC stand at Ford Fair yesterday. Sadly didn't get to meet all of you but was nice to see those of you that I did. Thought I'd post up a few of my photos I took on the stand and around the event, so feel free to share yours here too!  :)

I feel your pain but it will be worth the wait!

I'm quite impressed with how much they've made it sound like the old one when you put your foot down, although I don't know how much of that is artificial.

I need one of these Focus STs in my life, will be my first ST too.

Ford Fair is going to be a double edged sword, get to see many examples of what I am waiting for, but have to go home without them :(

I apologise in advance Clive, if I happen to just stand and stare endlessly at your car, haha!

At least you have one on the way... How long is it now? Having this one makes me miss my old one quite a bit!  :(

You're quite welcome to have a poke around the one I'm bringing of course - that's pretty much what it's there for after all!

Ah I see, what's the spec, Deep Impact Blue ST3 like Clive's?

I'd have been mighty miffed to think you had bought one and got it before mine turns up :P

Haha no not bought one yet although I'm already tempted and only had it a few hours  :D

It's a stealth grey ST3 with rear privacy glass, heated steering wheel and the premium nav/sync 2 with Sony sound and sub, plus rear cam. That's the options I've noticed so far anyway!

When you get one of those?

Today, but I only have it until Monday...

It's been kindly provided by one of our sponsors Evans Halshaw for the event. Specifically the Milton Keynes branch.

I'm aiming to get there reasonably early so if I'm there first I will put a towel down for you ;)

Good man  ;)

Can always park next to each other I'm in the same car as you!

Would definitely be good to get everyone lined up nicely too!

#507655 Ford Fair 2015 - Who's Going?

So who's likely to get to the stand first and doesn't mind organising the layout etc to make the stand look nice?

I'm coming from Bournemouth area so I'm not going to be there until 7.30 - 8 ish.

We need to get the cars all lined up and looking neat.

Also, I need someone to reserve me a space prominent as I have a car to display and also club flags etc...

So I emailed the organisers just to clarify the space situation and got this in response:

Many thanks for your e-mail.

The space has been measured and I can assure you that there will be enough space for the cars you have booked on to your stand.

You will come in Gate T and will be turned right towards the bridge and will then be directed by the marshals into the correct place.
