#427620 Very Unhappy With The Ecoboost Mpg

Posted by potter18 on 11 November 2014 - 07:01 PM

What fuel are you using? I find my fiesta ( 10l ecoboost ) runs better on shell regular unleaded , mpg usually improves after 1000miles or so , last summer we holidayed on the south coast 53 mpg going 59.3 on way back , I tend to hold onto 3rd gear at 30mph around town , mpg around 45_48 although it drops a bit in winter

Go for the ecoboost 100ps min they're great little engines can cope with motorway and city driving (although you may find its best to keep it in third at 30mph around town) and have good economy

#402655 Lendal Bridge

Posted by potter18 on 28 August 2014 - 05:53 PM

So about this time last year our wonderful council ( york ) decided to close a main bridge , lendal bridge , and major road through our city between the hours of 10.30 and 5pm and fine motorists 60pounds if they crossed between these times , the signs were very poor and confusing and quite a few people were caughtout and were fined (sometimes more than once if they crossed a few times thanks to the camera they placed at one end of the bridge) . The six month trial ( to improve air quality and bus times ect) finished about 8 months later.???? ? Now it has been decided that all motorists who were fined ar now entitled to a refund ( the closure was deemed to be illegal) but its not done automatically people will have to apply for it , so, if you or anyone you know had been fined please urge them to look into claiming a refund (I assume if you visit york council website you may find details of how to go about it)
Sorry for the long post

#359352 Best Way To Clean Seats?

Posted by potter18 on 02 May 2014 - 04:37 PM

A carpet cleaner like a vax or a bissell with the separate upholstery attachment is probably your best bet you might be able to hire one if you dont have one , just be careful not to overwet your seats
