Someone has to think of the Shareholders!

#479275 Why So I Bother Day!

Posted by MattDRX on 24 April 2015 - 10:49 AM

Well I'm about to drop a bomb at work today or Monday, waiting for a certain contract to arrive and then boooooom, I am off'skies!!

Regarding management issues, mine is on the verge of annihilation.

Jeebo, trust me on this, I've suffered for too long at the hands of poor overseers, but over the last few years I have been patient and confident, the day of reckoning is upon them. Matt will walk away the Champion on the matter and only me.

Bide your time, gather and collect everything possible, keep 2 steps ahead as I have been doing and your time will come.

To quote Lord Vader, "it will be a day long remembered" only for me it goes according to plan.

I've used Wonder wheels for years and years and never had a problem with it, complete myth by a local pub hero no doubt,

Actually made my tatty Clio wheels look nice after a few bottles went through them. had no affect on the discs or anything, water from the hose sorts that out.

#478769 Head Gasket Price

it'll cost a lot to change, the head will need to be skimmed, new cam belt and aux belt kit, HG itself won't be expensive but you'll need new head bolts which can be pricey, personally if it's going I'd just bin it, not many people ever do the job properly or the block / head is to warped for it to seat correctly, you'll be looking at a good few hundred just on bits etc...to do it properly anyway, but never reuse the belts and bolts.

Is the car actually getting hot? or is there just white stuff in the oil?

Colder everything means more power, simple. your inlet will on outside air temp and not the usual 90C plus.

#478115 Kill The Parking Firms

Posted by MattDRX on 20 April 2015 - 12:06 PM

Thought about this for a while now.

Who on here is up for helping me create a petition for the next parliament.

Simply put to make parking fines fair and reasonable.

I would like to create one that inflicts a cap on the fine @ 1.5X the maximum daily rate, the whole idea of these fines was supposed to make up for financial loss they incur by non tariff payers taking up spaces etc.

Anyone up for helping out on this, I'm sure with the powers of car forums we could raise over 100K sigs to get it into parliament it can be started on the 11/05 I believe when the site comes back online.

Fed up with people taking the mickey over a few £ or a few measley minutes.

#478091 Fiesta St Or Focus St?

Posted by MattDRX on 20 April 2015 - 11:13 AM

Focus ST is a far better car, better build, more power, far better at speed and more refined. new ones with 2.0T are similar on fuel too.

I wouldn't get a Focus with Fiesta Engine, it'll be slower and worse and fuel, no point in it, either go whole hog on either model or not at all, you'd just want the Focus ST once you notice something lacking, like Fiestas overtaking you.

#477268 Whats Anti-Stall

Posted by MattDRX on 17 April 2015 - 04:20 PM

No idea, but the Fiesta certainly isn't "Anti-Stall"

Even Aircraft aren't anti-stall, otherwise that 747 from Rio to Paris wouldn't have fell out of the sky.

#474631 Pleb Dems

TBH £100M investment from the govt would probably send Hydrogen cars mainstream, just give it to someone to produce them and create like 100 fuel stations in the major areas in the UK to start with and watch them fly of the shelves, Hydrogen for a car should only cost about 10P/L too, infact a solid £100M would solve the energy crisis.

But someone has to think of the shareholders and Scottish dissidents who think their low oil stocks will support them for the next millennium, I read actually the North Sea has produced only 40BN Barrels of oil in 40 years, yet near Gatwick there is a well that yields 100BN barrels lol

Think we should bin them off now.
