#458868 Car Got Stolen Lastnight Gutted

Posted by MattDRX on Yesterday, 01:03 PM

Scummers, shame you cannot got all GTA and rig it with explosives for unauthorised use.

What they'll do is weigh up the cost of repairs, which may be high due to it needed a new code programming and new locks etc vs the cost of the actual value and selling it on.

you get the lower option, I don't see it costing 40% of the cars value to fix those issues but you never know, it may show on HPI but you need to ask the insurance company about that one.

Sorry to hear about it though.

Send the wolf to see them.

#458150 How Long Does It Take To Find An Idiot!

I had road rage yesterday. Some fool in a celica (the last shape) tried to tailgate me and undertake me, I sped up and he couldn't get past he then swerved at me lol thing is my car would crush all 4 passengers and not even notice. Some people really don't know how to pick a fight. Also it had a BMW Msport badge on it so couldn't be allowed to pass. I had a quote from Gandalf in my head at the time too.

Sorry to create a Thread and leave, I have since contacted the owner of the site, who is quite active on there ( he's the actual owner as well ) to make my case and have since been reinstated and the Mod has been removed from duty.

Petty to say this but it feels damn good to know that last been has been done.

Anyway yes, Jeebo and Stoney I largely agree you are very fair and friendly and rules are rules.

I do disagree with I think my 3rd ban, something about sand being caught somewhere, feel personally it was a bit harsh given no actual bad words were used and was purely just a dig at someone who constantly whines more about his car than I did about mine and that's saying something.

Out of curiosity how do you become a mod? and also why do you do it? it is appreciated keeping the little cretins that pop up now and then out of the way.

Whilst we may all disagree at some point I'm sure if we ever met we'd get along just fine and I'd buy you a beer / Gin / Coffee or whatever ( anything under like £12 a pop )

Anyway, I'm off to troll a Merc Forum now, seems G Wagen owners are hard to come by and not the most helpful of people, got an electrical fault already FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFS

#454231 End Of An Era

Posted by MattDRX on 13 February 2015 - 05:07 PM

Evening,

Well not been on properly for a while.

Fiesta has ended in spectacular fashion after a collision with a HGV, typically a PL plated one.

Braked in front of me with no lights, I swerved but too late the front left pillar smashed into the bed of the trailer and turns out it's irreparable, pulled the roof in slightly and it just cannot be done.

But 5-0 came and verified the brake lights were not working so liability has been admitted by the Haulage company in Poland who were fully legit, full payout on the car and even F*** me the GAP insurance came through.

Haven't bothered with a PI claim, not majorly hurt and I got over it after a few days.

Didn't fancy a new one / another one, I did 19K in it since March and doesn't work that well as a commuter bus so I bought a lovely Merc G320 CDI, perfect for Mways and I get near enough the same economy out of it, does an epic 3MPG on full boost. god help any car that pulls out in front of it though, proper baller motor too.

Is this the end for owning Frauds, no...

I am on the hunt for a non rotten but not mint Fiesta RS Turbo, a white one. seems they are now as rare as rocking horse !Removed! in white or they just cost as much as a Fiesta ST mint.

Hope everyone is well.

Matt.

Mine did, they stayed in the List anyway,

you can tune it manually, I think they are tuned in to wherever they check the car and first turn it on as mine had stations preset in the list that aren't in my area, bit of a ballache to tune imo but you can scrawl through manually just by pressing left and right or hold the button down to do it, but you have to have the actual tuning bar up for it to pick up new stations and not just press the button and hope it picks them up, all that is doing then is searching for past saved stations.

#445202 It's Been An Interesting Week..

See this is where GTA would be better as reality, next time pull out some sticky bombs and have the of them off the road in no time, evade police and repeat tomorrow.

Half the population of the UK could burn in nuclear fire and the other half ( us the cleverer half ) wouldn't even notice they were missing, nation full of complete idiots.

I'm on the hate for taxi drivers lately, the amount I've seen at night driving with no lights on ( and with passengers in the cars ) is unreal.

Road users in this country have no idea how lucky they are gun laws are so strict, if we had the same gun laws as the US there would be murders every minute on UK roads, utter flids everywhere.

they only squeal when the metal on the pads is touching the discs.

you are clearly an awesome driver to still on the same set, you sir deserve a medal / award of some sort. that's quite an achievement.

Just be careful with it, it can scratch the discs quite badly and make them useless, they are not cheap to replace either.

#441160 No Dipped Beam Indicator? Really?

Posted by MattDRX on 02 January 2015 - 03:49 PM

Can you not just tell from seeing the light infront of you? Or the fact the lights aren't on dipped as you didn't turn it two clicks? don't get the issue myself.

It's like saying my car doesn't tell me it's dark and I forgot to change from Sidelights to dipped all the time. barely any cars have a separate indicator for sides and dipped.

Possibly just grit, the gritters are all over the place at the moment, try giving it a hose in the caliper and disc and see if it changes anything.

Think the patent has expired now, it's what 10 years or something, Mercedes have a similar thing going on now but not standard ( it's a merc of course not ) but they never were "exclusive" to Ford as Mazda etc all the companies owned by Ford either part of whole do have them in various stages too. like some Mazda MPS models have them.
