I'm gonna stick with my current 17's for now. They aren't huge. But I like them. I have seen some replica ST wheels for £400, but they can wait....

And, I know I could do with some new locking nuts

I think the shocks are ok. The car is a 2010 model so they shouldnt be in a bad state.

I looked at full coilover kits and saw some for around 250...which seems quite cheap, and you always get what you pay for.

I don't mind a stiffer ride as I do a lot of Motorway miles, and I've got used to sitting in the passenger seat of a Civic Type R which is like being sat in a go-kart

I've finally decided that I'm going to lower the Focus but I have a few questions....

1) How much should I lower it by? 40mm seems the standard amount when I have looked at kits. My car has the 'handling' pack but I'm not sure if it is already lower than a standard focus setup....it doesn't look it.

2) Any recommended kits that people have already fitted? I've been told that Eibach kits are alright, but any opinions welcomed

#413755 What Do We All Work At

I'm not the guy who prints letters asking you for money, nor the guy who knocks on your door asking for a meter reading, they are outsourced anyway.

I just work out how many people we need to deal with demand from customers. Quite possibly one of the most boring jobs ever.

I love a good spreadsheet though ☺

#410306 Tailgaters! What Can Be Legally Used To Dissuade The Morons ? Discuss

Posted by Invisible Man on 16 September 2014 - 03:01 PM

Not sure if this has already been covered, but the one thing that really winds me up is people who cut up your safe driving distance....

I am not a serial speeder by any stretch, but if the traffic in the 'fast lane' is doing 80mph I will keep up with it.

I do a lot of motorway driving and I will leave a good 1.5-2.0 second gap to the car in front, and some idiot will always cut in and force me to drop back a little bit more.

It borderline makes me angry when it happens constantly.

I refuse to drive too close to people, I value my life and I love my car

the 15mph noise is the ABS, mine sounds like a thud for a split second, sounds worse if you are turning a corner when it happens. Nothing to worry about

#364235 Barely Legal Drivers

Posted by Invisible Man on 14 May 2014 - 11:38 AM

I remember this from the last series, there was a lad who was useless to start with.

Took him and his mates on a road trip, got legless and tried to drive the car the next morning.

The producers had to stop him from driving as he was still way over the limit. No common sense at all.

There is a lad near me that looks about 6 who is driving round in a banged up Corsa, more interested in his floppy hair and his music than driving safely.

My god I sound old

I personally love my privacy glass. It means people can't see what a state the back of the car is when my daughter has messed it up.

But if you do get tints, beware, they will eventually look rubbish, they end up scratching and peeling

#359511 Size Of Sidelight Hole On Mk2.5

Posted by Invisible Man on 02 May 2014 - 09:18 PM

So....I went and got the same lights from a local shop. They worked, no errors on the dash....but didn't fit in the sidelight hole......

I believe I now have the brightest footwear lights in history though
