Bluefin - Fl St

31 July 2015 - 05:39 PM

Anyone put bluefin remap on their FL ST? What are your thoughts on it? Did you have any issues?

Ideally I'd go for mp275 but the price is just too much considering I'm likely to hand the car back after 9-12 months.

New St

09 July 2015 - 06:58 PM

Thought I'd come over to this part of the forum and say hello :)

My new ST2 has just arrived at the dealers and will be picking it up on the 29th July.. going to be the longest 20 days ever.

Couldn't resist going down there today to take a look. The Tangerine Scream shines so nice in the sun.

Footwell Lights

05 July 2015 - 09:34 PM

Picking up my new Focus ST at the end of the month.

Do these have footwell lights in? Are they the same w5w bulbs as in my current Fiesta ST?

Ford Privilege Changes

17 May 2015 - 11:25 AM

This is for anyone who gets a discount of ford cars with the privilege scheme. Not sure if this has been posted already..

I went into my dealer yesterday to look at getting an order in for my next car so that it arrives bang on the day my 9 months is up. They told me that there will soon be changes to the discount offered through the privilege scheme and seemed to think the Focus (ST at least) will be staying the same (£1700) but you can get free metallic paint. The Fiesta (ST at least) would be dropping down to £1200 but again you can get free metallic paint.

The reason for this is because they end up with tonnes of cars in the standard free paint and want to encourage people to get the metallic.

Renewal Time

14 April 2015 - 06:31 PM

My renewal is coming up soon (12th may) so i logged onto Aviva's website to check my renewal price and they were asking for £1150! i spoke to someone to ask why they had quoted me so high and they said it was just due to my age and the high insurance group of my car. They managed to get the price down to £1000 but i'm not paying that so told them i want it to cancel.

One thing that is a must for insurance is New car replacement as i change car every ~9 months.

I went onto confused to check prices and the cheapest one on there is £570 with Swiftcover. As they do offer new car replacement, i checked some reviews and most say to avoid at all costs. Next were all the admiral group ones (Admiral, Elephant, Bell etc) but i've always heard bad things about them so generally always avoid (plus they don't offer new car replacement). Anyone have anything to say about either of these? good experiences? bad experiences?

Next one up is Hastings for £800 which seems to have good reviews on the internet except they charge admin fees for nearly everything. Anyone with any experiences with these also?

So finally (sorry for a bit of an essay), do i go for the cheapest one swiftcover or fork out a little bit more for a company who has much better reviews?
