#393960 New Corsa

Nah, cant go revoking his supporter status, it just means he has paid for the right to like Vauxhalls, however we will have to monitor his support closely....

I am beginning to wonder if he is a Corsa spy sent in to dig details of our Ford goodness for purposes of corporate espionage :P

Caught me out there buddy. Best I better hand in my membership after all :P

I just don't think they are 10000% rubbish cars. My parents had one before and it served them well. I had one as my first car and it did me alright.

Nothing 'amazing' about them but they drive well enough, you get an alright car for your money.

I just think it's hilarious all the banter you throw towards cars with the griffin badge :P plus looks are a very subjective thing, you can't factually say a car looks bad because it is your own taste after all!

In all honesty it is weird coming from the CorsaD-UK forums, on that forum when you mention Ford, it's just another car to discuss or enthuse over, but on here when you mention Vauxhall the 'banter' comes right out!!

Don't mean to start an argument, a war or place a target on my head (yeah... too late), just don't think they deserve all the hate they get! (maybe the typical drivers do but that is not the poor cars fault :(

I was just saying to a friend, for £10 a year for premium membership, the benefits you get are ridiculous! Hopefully I won't be shunned despite not actually owning a ford anymore!

When I went to the 'bikehut' to buy some bits I had all the staff up there having a look at the card. In the end got a little more than 15% off ;) Hats off to the people who set up the discount card!

Nice to hear he was quick to own up and sort it all out, must of been a big relief.

#372953 Runaround Car Suggestions

What a lovely and thorough overview of the aixam! For some reason though I think I may have to give it a miss.

I don't think it'd even be worth buying a new cheap car, it won't be used enough for the warranty to even matter! I think a used c'eed will be the way forward, even on looks alone haha.

I'll find some locally and take one out for a test drive. I may spend a few more pennies to get a good example.

Thanks for taking the time out to reply mate, much appreciated!  :)

#352205 2014 Fiesta Zetec S Questions

Posted by HShaw on 09 April 2014 - 11:39 AM

In my experience:

1. Speakers are really good for standard ones. For some reason they sound louder/better when playing music through bluetooth rather than aux, at least in mine.

2. Engine sounds lovely when giving it the boot, lovely 3 cylinder rumble, otherwise very quiet. Exhaust note is non-existent, consider an aftermarket system if you are after that sorta thing.

3. I average 45mpg, mostly around town with the odd blasts down some A/B roads. So that's like 400ish miles to a tank?

4. Depending on price per litre obviously. Around £50 should see you full.

5. Again depends on prices locally. Round my end rear 3 windows cost £90!

#352091 Ecoboost 1.0 Tuning Possibilities = More Powerrrr!!!!

Posted by HShaw on 08 April 2014 - 09:18 PM

Well to be fair, considering the MP140 package for the 1.6 zetec s costs £1395 + fitting and results in 140PS / 170nm and 0-60 in 7.9 seconds.

I feel pretty okay with the idea of paying £375 + fitting for 135PS / 215nm, plus warranty intact etc... 0-60 can't be that far off either!

#351558 Comparison Of Old St And New St

Posted by HShaw on 07 April 2014 - 12:57 AM

Loved the write up. Made for a good read!  :)  I really enjoyed the fact you didn't just rave on just about how the new ST is better than the last but gave some fair comparisons.

To be honest, if I wasn't saving up to do my bike test + a bike + all the gear etc I would be saving up to swap my ZS for an ST no doubt haha.
