Have a look inside the engine bay and see if you can see any parts with white writing or similar on it as it may have been replaced. If so may have been in an accident. Have a look over alloy wheels for any marks or kerbing, and also what's said above about checking the body panels all match up if they don't quite match they may have had a repair done. Also check done the car for any dents of scratches, check tyres to see how much tread they have left and if you can see the brakes have a look at them cause if you need to spend some money on it that means you can probably get money of or if it's a dealer get them to do it before you buy.
I don't really know TBH, also the car doesn't seem to pull as well as it should. I've booked it in for a dyno test on Monday, and if it's substantially lower than the 132ps claimed I'll take it back to Ford and demand they fix it. (gotta be firm with them lol)
You have to be firm with them otherwise they will just mug you off! Just keep harassing them until they get it sorted! Also if they don't find anything till after your warranty runs out take note of when you noticed the issue and when you took it to ford otherwise they will just mug you off again.
Yeah mate, you get abit more noise from the mp215 kit but it's only more intake noise which is nice letting off the throttle and an exhaust drone.
I was hoping that cause when I had a full system on my old car my girlfriend said she could hear me coming before I turned into the close haha!
Hopefully it just adds the noise the car deserves!
No I haven't yet, cause I don't know if I want to get my performance stuff first of do some visual things haha, but I think I may wait as the mountune stuff I was looking came to £900 haha.
Yeah mate it is non resonated but I hope it's not too loud, some of the reviews on mountune website say that it isn't that loud when your cruising around anyway.
No problem I sent J-W an email about some parts cause I was looking at spending quite abit of money on there and they said they can sort a discount on anything but mountune products haha. But he didn't say to me it wasn't in stock just had to pay the price it is on there website.
I don't know but say they brought loads of them of mountune themselves they would have got them discounted anyway? So maybe that's why they are cheaper?
The back box is the only part of the exhaust that had a box on it all the other pipes are straight through for non resenated exhaust.
Where as on a resonated exhaust it has a silencer on the start of the exhaust, then the s bend pipe, then the back box.
Milltek do a resonated one for £550.
And try J-W-Racing for the mountune exhaust it's cheaper aswell!
I'm lucky enough to get ford privilege discount. There was only £500 negative equity in my current car which i covered with a deposit. so each time i get a new one it works out as if i don't owe them anything.
It's alright for you then mate, next time you can get the focus or fiesta RS haha
Finally thought I would start up a feed after having the car now for a month and loving every minute of it. The only bad thing at the moment is the amount of people that want to race you in there corsa's but hey ho!
Right after selling my S1600 after a year I decided I wanted the St. I new exactly what spec I wanted it was just a rare one to find, well so I thought but lucky for me there was one only 20 miles away which was the exact one I wanted.
So here she is Molten orange, Style Pack, Mp215 mountune kit and the Red Recaros.
I've already started with some upgrading that I didn't sell from my old car not much but just a little to start off.
These have all been fitted to the car, wasn't to keen on the wind deflectors at first but they have grown on me.
Headlight bulbs was changed to Osram night breakers which I had in my old car and really did make a difference at night!
Changed indicator bulbs to chrome bulbs to get rid of the fried egg look and also changed my reversing bulbs to Cree led.
The last thing I did was add the shorter ford richbrook aerial which I think looks so much better.
Things I am planning to add to the car when finds allow me to haha.
Mountune Floor mats and boot mat.
Mountune leather gear gaiter.
Spray the dull plastics to a nice gloss black to math the St grill that's standard.
Like some colour in my engine bay, Phil gave me his idea from his great feed he has done, so thanks Phil (sorry don't know your user name)
Mountune intake hose.
To the maybes now as I haven't seen any reviews on these items yet.
Mountune cat back exhaust and intercooler. But not too sure as of the price of them haha!
Sorry for the long story and thanks if you have got this far!
Hope you like it!
The Mountune upgrade from Ford is £1200.
Tbh you can get a remap, intercooler fit and everything else for less from an independent.
It may not be a Mountune set-up but what's in a name?
If Wifey was to offer the official upgrade as a xmas/birthday/for the heck of it pressie I might accept though
Yeah that is abit pricey! But is it worth losing the warranty with ford?
Yeah a Xmas or birthday present for the next few years haha!
Just picked up my molten orange St today and wow it's insane. It's amazing how much different it was compared to my s1600. Just everything about it is better and I'm just going to be driving it for most the day today.
Some of you may have seen my modification feed on my old car which was part exchanged will start up another one when I have a bit of time.
I've upgraded my high and dipped beam bulbs to osram nightbreakers and I also upgraded my fogs to 6000k led bulbs but the fogs are just a better white colour and was just wondering if anyone could recommend any other bulbs preferably not a H.I.D kit.
Also if anyone could recommend any led bulbs for the reverse, brake and rear fog light bulbs would be appreciated as I know people have had problems with the cheaper ones!
