Gearbox Oil
06 March 2012 - 01:15 AM
Is it possible to change your gearbox oil yourself as I know when they do it in a garage they do it while on a ramp, I'm wondering as first gear is sometimes abit stiff and was wondering if it's because it needs more or nice clean oil. Thanks in advance
Price For Aux Belt
29 February 2012 - 09:10 PM
Now I've got my car up and running now took it out for a quick run down the road and there is a squele, now I'm assuming this will be the AUX belt and/or tensioner, now what is the average price to have one fitted, also may consider cambelt as well as the car will be 11 years old this august, depending on what the average sort of price is, there a small garage down the road so might se what he quotes, but just wondered what the average price is. cheers

White-Ish Exhaust
26 February 2012 - 04:37 PM
Is white exhaust gas/smoke definatly a head gasket,as I can't see any oil in my coolant and I dont think theres any water in my oil(I'll let you know for sure tommorow as it needs service). Could it be because the car hasn't been used since september so it's got really old fuel in it, plus the ECU will have been re-set as the battery has been disconnected, the other thing is I'm not sure which spark plug gap setting I should be using as I'm not sure if I have the ECU update which changes the gap down to 1mm instead of 1.3mm. It doesn't do this when you first start but after it warm's up abit.
The car in question is a MK1 1.6 Zetec-SE Ford Focus on a 51 plate. Please let us know what you think, if it's the head gasket I'm not sure what I'm going to do as money is really short at the moment. Thanks in advance
P.S. I don't know how to use the topic tags so havnt done any

Formula 1
27 November 2011 - 05:27 PM
Just wondering if any of you are Formula 1 fans, what you think of it going to sky sports next year and the new circuit in american being cancelled, as I personally was liking how it was looking even though it was just a rough dirt layout. Also I'm sure I remember in seeing an interview with one of the teams and they said that either next year or the year after that the where using 4 cylinder turbos as audi were going to go in but would only do so if they used 4 cylinder turbos, and that they weren't happy due to the fact audi had dropped out and it made it more difficult for them as they had to make a space frame. Or was I dreaming about that interview. Thanks in advance.
P.S. Are they still considering new york for 2013.
