Focus-Jonny

So after many months of procrastinating, doing research and saving money, yesterday morning I finally pulled the trigger. Ordered the Pioneer AVHx-2500bt and full fitting kit with steering controls off Dynamic Sounds from Ebay. Picking it up soon and will be trying to get it fitted next week at some point. Unsure at present whether to try to fit it myself or to get a professional fit it as my sub and amp will need connecting as well. My only issue is time, which I barely have at the moment or else I would be spending my weekend doing it myself.

I really like the look of this unit, cant wait to see how it looks in place of the 6000cd you may convince me to buy one if your pics turn out nice! Had a pioneer in my mk1 with the pioneer door speakers offered by ford as an upgrade the sound was amazing! miss the nice crisp sounds and connectivity in my mk2.5  am i right in saying the BT in that unit is made by Parrot?

not my choice to be honest as the amount of time you would actually spend with a spare on is minimal at best, I would rather keep the extra space in the boot but each to their own as they say

+1 Also think of the weight saving, better fuel economy (very marginal i know.. but still!)

have you fitted a mk3 focus badge yunii or my eyes playing tricks on me? i will have to go and look at the rear of my car now haha

picked up my new 2 din tonight from TNT.

but i have a problem allready, the unit is 100x182 mm and the surround inside edge is 118x193mm so i have a nice big gap all round.

looks like i am going to need a cage to help me out.

That unit looks realy nice billybob66 cant wait to see it in dash! have you got the adaptor for steering wheel controls? Hope you get the fitment sorted!

I take it you have the silver interior? im thinking carbon wrap is the only real way of tieing in the black unit with the rest of the interior?
