#111696 Don't Buy A Fiesta!

Posted by AndrewL on 29 January 2011 - 01:38 PM

There clearly is an unusually high number of mk.7 owners with buckled alloys. Whether that's because of an increased number of bad potholes on the roads or whether the alloys are poor quality remains to be seen I suppose.

Someone should do some stress testing on a couple of different alloys to find out. Any takers?

For some reason on an internet forum, people say whatever they want, however offensive. If we were all sitting in a room together it would be entirely different, probably partly due to respect for others and common decency and partly for fear of getting your !Removed! kicked I reckon.
I'm not saying that anything in this thread particularly applies to the above comment, but there does seem to be a lot of this going on at the moment.

rather than a badge to prance about in and assert their authority/salary (delete as appropriate)

Funny how it's always the 316d's and A3 1.6's that get right up your !Removed! on the motorway isn't it! :D

#71093 Mountune Upgrade?

ask andrew how much faster it is

If you mean me following our little scientific experiment then yeah it definately is a fair bit faster, and I was absolutely nailing it. (Up to the legal speed limit of course :P)

We even did an in gear acceleration test in 4th at about 60mph to remove the time differences between our gear changes and the Mountune did romp home pretty easily.

Don't get me wrong, it's no Lamborghini but it's a fair bit quicker than the standard 1.6.
