Yeah speak with your insurance company, I used to work for Direct Line and we needed to know even about optional extras, wind deflectors I don't think they need to know about. Some insurers won't cover anything that increases your bhp and some don't need to know about little accessories.

#281211 Wiring Loom Needed For St500 Heated Seats + Pics Of Poss.

Posted by calmcdermott on 09 August 2013 - 09:15 PM

HI guys and girls,

As above I could do with advise I have finally got my leather heated seats that are supposed to be in my car, however I have a problem in that the wire to the heated seat function on each side has ben snipped off so therefore I need new looms or an alternative way or wiring them up.

I would buy new but each side is £79 each which I cant really afford, could anyone take photos of how theirs is wired so I understand the connection?

Tar :)

#78327 The Ambient Lighting Installation Guide!!!!!!!...

Posted by calmcdermott on 18 April 2010 - 08:48 PM

Right all, here it goes, my 1st attempt at making a guide for you guys to follow, I have used 3x 12v red LED lights from ebay, 3 metres of audio cable from Maplins, x2 screw connectors from Maplins, total cost 18.00 so didn't break the bank!!!!

Start by levering down the courtesy light, when it's dangling down force off the light with a screw driver (don't be scared it goes back in easy enough)

Connect the wires as shown, (easiest way is to slide off the connectors from the light, twist the bare wire then in through the hooks in the connectors, back out and twist again so its like a lasso??) then these will slide easy on, before pushing the light back in thread the other end of the wire through the light hole towards the windscreen. push the light back in with the back part in 1st then the front hooks will just push in.

Thread the wire along the roof lining towards the passenger door.

It will be because the car has being stood for a while, the oil would have gone back into the sump, give it a good run with decent revs and it should be as good as gold!
