Ford has confirmed the new Fiesta will come with six road tax free powertrains and a new ST that will arrive next year.
In total, eight powertrains will initially be on offer in the UK, with six returning less than 100g/km and fuel economy starting from 65.7mpg, giving it class leading numbers.
Four of the engines will be all-new to the Fiesta, with two variations of the 1.0 litre Ecoboost engine with either 99 or 118bhp, an 80bhp 1.0 litre petrol with direct injection, and a 75bhp 1.5 litre diesel.
Also available will be the current 1.6 Duratorq TDCi, the 105bhp 1.6 petrol and two variants of the 1.25 litre petrol engine.
The most exciting news is that Ford has confirmed that the next Fiesta ST will join the range early next year, complete with a 182bhp Ecoboost engine.
The new Fiesta will be priced from £9,795 with a top spec model costing £17,545.
It has not been confirmed if this top end price is for the ST or the new range topping Titanium X model.
The Fiesta will be appearing in public as a production ready model for the first time tomorrow when it appears at the Paris Motor Show.
