The start of 2013 saw the arrival of Ford’s latest model when the all-new Fiesta arrived at showrooms across the UK.

Thanks to the all-new Fiesta’s fresh look and award-winning efficient engines, demand for Britain’s best selling car is expected to continue throughout 2013 and beyond.
Offering an extensive range of six powertrains and a Titanium X Series, the latest fuel efficient model to join the Ford family features a sharper design and a host of exclusive technology features, with prices starting at £9795.
Barry Fearon, sales manager at Jennings Ford’s Eslington Park dealership in Gateshead, said; “Advanced new technologies have allowed Ford to take the all-new Fiesta to new heights regarding fuel efficiency, which in the current economic climate, is becoming a major buying criteria with customers.”
Customers can take their pick from 100PS and 125PS 1.0-litre EcoBoost petrol engines, crowned the 2012 “International Engine of the Year”, 80PS 1.0-litre petrol engines with direct-injection and Twin Independent Variable Camshaft Timing, a 75PS 1.5-litre Duratorq TDCi diesel engine with optimised fuel injection, low friction piston coatings and a variable pressure oil pump.
In addition, a 95PS 1.6-litre Duratorq TDCi diesel engine, producing 200Nm of torque, a 105PS 1.6-litre Ti-VCT petrol engine or a 60PS and 82PS 1.25-litre petrol engines are also available.
As standard, the new Fiesta also boasts an Auto-Start-Stop system, which automatically shuts down the engine when the vehicle is idle and restarts the engine when the driver wants to move off, is available in the 1.0-litre EcoBoost, 1.0-litre petrol and 1.6-litre Duratorq TDCi ECOnetic Technology powertrains.
New chassis and suspension components have been developed to improve the ride quality and refinement of the new Fiesta and tuned the Ford Electronic Power Assisted Steering system.
For peace of mind motoring, the new Fiesta’s package of leading Ford driver assistance and safety features includes MyKey, a segment-first technology that allows parents to encourage safer driving and limit their teenager’s exposure to risk at the wheel, as well as in-car connectivity system SYNC.
SYNC features Emergency Assistance that directly connects the vehicle occupants to local emergency services operators after an accident.
New to the Fiesta and available as part of an optional Driver Assistance pack (including rear parking sensors and powerfold mirrors) is the first-in-class technology Active City Stop, a system which has been well received in the Focus and designed to help drivers avoid low speed collisions.
Customers opting for the Titanium X model can take advantage of additional features such as the Keyfree system and partial leather as standard.
