Ford Fiesta Remains Top-selling Uk Car

Used car buyers have learnt that the Ford Fiesta held on to its position as the top-selling vehicle in the UK last month.

Ford dominated the market last month, with the Focus the second-most popular car after the Fiesta among drivers on British roads.

The car manufacturer holds a 15.7 per cent market share in 2010 so far, according to figures from the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders.

Sales of the Galaxy, S-Max and Mondeo models were also strong in February for Ford.

Used Ford Fiestas have been recommended to second hand car buyers by a review in the Sunday Times.

Writing in his regular column for the newspaper, motoring journalist Jason Dawe noted that the vehicle is one designed to appeal to those after an enjoyable driving experience.

He stated that the used Ford Fiesta is "genuinely superb to drive" with responsive brakes, great agility and an excellent chassis.

"It drives most other cars in its class off the tarmac and it is clear the Fiesta is still great value for money as a used buy," Mr Dawe added.
