2019 Focus captured on test
As the Focus is imminently due for a complete revamp shortly, these spy-shots are the best glimpse so far of what the next generation model will look like.
Wearing production bodywork, albeit heavily disguised in camouflage, the profile is considerably different with increased length and width, a thicker D-Pillar and sloped rear glass.
That interior has been redesigned with a new centre stack that’s less cluttered and toned down from the current Focus. The HVAC vents have been repositioned beneath the radio controls, and are oriented horizontally instead of vertically. The photo shows a base model with a simple clock in place of a central screen, but judging by how big that housing is, the next Focus will likely offer a large touchscreen running the latest version of Sync 3.
We can reasonably expect the new Focus will offer a full range of diesel and gasoline engines in Europe and quite possibly a Focus Electric and high-performance ST and RS variants. The next-generation Ford Focus should debut for model year 2019.
