If you’re interested in becoming the first person to own the latest 2015 Ford Mustang, then it looks like you will need to get yourself over to Scottsdale, Arizona on January 18th for lot number 3010. You’re probably going to need plenty of money too. It has been announced that Barrett-Jackson auctions in Scottsdale, AZ will be auctioning off the first example of the new pony car with the auction’s proceeds going the charity JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation).

“Ford Mustangs have always been among the most popular collector cars at Barrett-Jackson Collector Car events.” said Steve Davis, president of Barrett-Jackson. “While every collector wishes they had snapped up the first Mustang sold in 1964, this is an opportunity to realize that dream in a different way.”

The car is for grabs will come with the 5.0 litre V8 Engine with an output of 420 horsepower and 390 pound feet of torque. The winning bidder will also have the entire range of options available to them leaving them free to personalise their new Mustang however they see fit.
