  • Reversing camera

Does anyone know if it's possible to set up the view on the reversing camera so suit your own requirements?   When I go into reverse, mine always shows what looks like an area of paving slabs that I find quite off-putting and, although it is possible to switch the view, I'd like to get rid of it permanently.

    Heated screen suddenly stopped working

Of course I find out in the bad weather that the screen has suddenly stopped (worked last month). So after reading up on this this is what I have done. 1) Checked the fuses 2) Swapped the relay with the ABS 3) Put a meter on the driver side wires. Power there. 4) Examined connections (see pics) . Cannot see anything obvious.   Any ideas?

    • when the mrs gets home i'll get a picture of the headlights and the problem i've got with them, the corner bracket is broken and the guy put some screws in to hide the fact it's not held in with the original headlight fixing i should really take it back to them to sort but we got such a good deal on the car and it's from so far away it's not really going to be worth the effort for a few screws, just can't even find the correct headlight on a google search tough which is so frustrating
    • Yes, joking about hydrogen lease rates apart, I reckon if I had to consider an electric car right now, I may well look at the Corsa E and its 208 E Peugeot stablemate. Both these have been described as "like a normal car, but electric" and I've seen lease rates around the £250 mark. Vauxhall's own PCP plan is £275-295 with about £2,200 deposit, depending on trim level. Only around 200 mile range though, which might not be enough for some, certainly enough for my Mrs's needs, though. Only problem is I've seen lease rates on a 125 or 155 Fiesta for around £100 less, which I suppose sums up the issue with going electric just at present.

    • This article is the nearest I've found so far in attempting to clarify what hybrids would be allowed: https://www.fleetnews.co.uk/news/latest-fleet-news/electric-fleet-news/2020/11/19/zero-emission-capability-crucial-to-hybrid-petrol-and-diesel-ban
    • Hi, using my multimeter I tested the new battery after a night of sitting in the freezing cold and it's reading a steady 12.4v, so the new battery is certainly good and it's not being flattened by anything. When I start the car it's stuck on full whack, I can adjust the temperature using the dial knobs but I can't change the position of where the air is blowing. I can use Convers+ to put it onto demisting mode or auto mode, but on auto mode it'll go back to full fan speed shortly after. If I use the buttons to drop the fan speed down, it'll just go back up right after like the fan speed up button is stuck in. Hitting the off button does nothing, however sometimes it just works normal and other times it won't go off no matter how long I drive for.
