re-learn values for PCM

Hey,

I recently replaced the EGR valve and now need the ECU to re-learn the values.... I tried using forscan with an extended licence but when trying to run the service on the PCM it said the procedure was not supported! Does anyone know another way to force this to happen? and why forscan doesnt let you do it?!
