New Edge

I'm picking up my new Edge in the next two weeks hopefully after ordering it in November last year. Can anyone give me any tips what to look for when collecting it? I know to check for marks and scratches but is there anything else I should be aware of? I have seen a topic about locking wheel nuts so that's something I have noted, any more information is much appreciated.

Check the fit of the rear doors. Some have been misaligned. Other issues are mainly electrical gremlins which generally don’t surface til weeks / months later. Which model of Edge and which colour did you go for ?

My only advice would be to take someone with you when you collect your car,  they always see something you dont. take as much time checking it over .

Just been told my Edge is now at Liverpool Docks so hopefully it will be at the dealers soon.

Unless some Liverpool scallies nick your wheels and leave it on bricks !!

Good luck with your new Edge. 👍

I think someone must have pinched the wheels as still not at dealership.

Unfortunately the wait for an ordered Edge is always a long one.

Agree with that statement.

When I first went to purchase my Edge in late 2016, because of my choices I was told I would have to wait 9 months for my car.

As my old banger was about to fall apart I changed some of my options.

Even though I have had a few problems with my Edge, I am still happy with it.

I ordered in late September 16 and took delivery in late January 17.  I was quoted 16 to 20 weeks, so it was within that period.

Picking Edge up Saturday morning after nearly a 6 month wait I thought it would never come, hope the wait was well worth it!

From Ford website, the image here is an Edge Titanium. It has sat nav showing.

I’m sorry but it looks like no according to to online brochure. See the specs attached here for the Titanium and Sport.

It reads as a £450 option on the Edge Titanium configurator.

Its an option on all titanium models not just the Edge, it's an extra I had to pay for, wish I hadn't but that's another story

Thank you very much for your comments.  Sorry to see a bit thick but we were shown the Ford Edge Titanium spec that showed interior features as Ford DAB with navigation system so is that not the sat Nav as we were told?

The Ford DAB with Nav is the Sat Nav, so if you were promised that by the dealer but haven’t got it, then I would have thought you had grounds to reject the car. Have you got anything in writing that you were given by the dealer showing the spec you should have got ??

We understood this was standard spec only things on the paperwork were the extra spec we paid for

i think it could be something to do with lux pack. to have lux pack on titanium the sony dab nav option should have been selected as the control for the climate seats uses a unique button for this on sony only. this is according to build configurator on fords website.

so a non nav sync3 can still operate seats climate?

thats my guess.
