Climate control mystery

Featured Replies

Ford fiesta 2013 1l Titanium the blowers are coming on by themselves even though the system is switched off.

Anyone else had this issue?

I've checked owners manual and nothing is mentioned in there and also online I can't find anything to relate to this issue

How long is the system off for?  And why would you leave it off anyway lol?  There's usually a safety over ride on climate systems to allow fresh air into the vehicle even when off, it's the same as not being able to leave recirc on for ages.

Car was left overnight went for a three mile drive with system shut off  just now to walk the dog and just as I was about to park up the blowers came on. This also happened on way home from work last night also a three mile drive. If I don't need the blowers I switch them off is this the wrong thing to do? Never had auto climate control in a car before

@DavyTee with auto you are best just leaving it to do it's thing, it will vary the fan and distribution to suit what's needed for the temp you set, it's best to run your a/c as it stops the seals drying out much better for it.

Yeah, you don't want the whole system off really.  Just leaving it set to auto is best.  You can turn the fan speed down manually if you want, rather than fully switching the system off.  The air in a car quickly becomes stale as you're breathing in a small space so should always have some air flow.
