interested in getting my first car - but not sure if I have been offered a good price and hope some others here on PCP can compare. 

the car is a new fiesta st line X, 3 dr, 1.0 125 engine.

the deal is £1k deposit and £250.37 monthly for 38 months.

 

is this a good deal? I’m confident the car should hold its value well enough to give me some equity’s in 2 years to upgrade into a Focus but don’t want to pay over the odds to start with.

 

quote was given this week but conscious they change prices in the new quarter from 1 April. Dealer has been fairly open that they’re way short of their targets this month but they’re not overly pushing to meet it as it was unrealistic to begin with. 

You'll need to work out the total cost over the 38 months, how much balloon payment you have and whether you think you're car will be worth that much at the end of the 38 months.

You'll have paid £10,500 if you stay the 38 months. 

When going on finance I would always aim for the lowest rate possible, if a regular loan over 5 years has a lower rate you may be better off as you could have more equity at the end of the 3 years.

Unfortunately the short answer is: it depends

Any extras? It's a slightly better deal than I'm getting (higher upfront deposit, lower monthly payments). Mine is the 140 

First off what is the cars price that the quote was made from?

Get a quote for the same spec for Drivethedeal, get a PCP quote from them or use the quote to get your dealer to match or get close.

Value quoted for the car is £17,875
