You forgot Rolf Harris!
I think everyone tries to.
The clues were there in his songs-
Two little boys & Jake the peg with his extra leg.
Dodgy.

VHS

Beta max

BMX bike

Choppers ( with original 1 piece seats )

grifters( the only push bike you can fit a complete motor cross front handle bar/suspention section on 😀 )

As a kid the capability of not feeling fear till it's too late and it all goes amazing ( surprisingly ) or horribly wrong ( unfortunately ) but when it pulled off you were chuffed to bits even though you filled your pants half way through it 😂

Dont forget the Choppers wee brother the Tomahawk.

My wee brother had a red Grifter - hellish heavy they were - could never do a wheelie on em!

I still ride my SUN GT10XL racing bike got it for my Christmas in 1977 and I still ride it even now up to the shops to get the weekly shop with ma rucksack on ma back!
Just stuck some of those bling blue flashing led light strips to the front wheels so you should see me at night nae probs!
lol

As you can tell I am still a kid - the advantages of not getting married and having kids!

I am 21 and every day is my birthday!

Never grow up thats the secret to staying young!

Ahh windows I'm afraid, though I briefly had FE2 on an Amiga...

Or do you mean the original elite? That was on atari St with such other amazing classics as Millennium 2.2, new Zealand story, Xenon, Hunter, Turbo Cup, Defender of the Crown... I could go on...

The thing I miss most about the good ole days is just how little traffic there was then.

Being able to drink a gallon of ale and still be able to walk straight and still have money left over.

My motorbikes and how I could loone everywhere lol.

There's more but they've already been stated above.

What a damn good thread this is. A proper one that brings a smile and snigger.

Good call Nik

Nope the Original Elite was designed on a BBC Micro Model B 32K with developers expansion tools it was then ported to other machines,

I used to know David Braben - very clever programmer his machine code maths was mind blowing!

Does anyone else remember Outer Spacers - the space station round ones in yellow packet version (Mango Chutney flavour) - they were truly amazing i wish they would bring em back.

As for sweets - some of them are back checkout this site:-

https://www.aquarterof.co.uk/chewy-jelly-sweets.html

They even have the old Golden Nuggets bubblegum - remember those?
