Indicators not working in the sun!

I take my 2017 Edge to Spain for about 6 months every year.  I have a strange problem however, as in very hot conditions, say between 28 and 30 degrees C upwards, when driving along or when parked up for 5 or 10 minutes in the sun, the indicators stop working.  This can obviously be very dangerous as well as illegal.  They start working again as soon as the car cools down.  Also have a front facing camera which stops working at the same time.  Obviously this isn't a frequent problem in the UK climate but just wondered if anyone else has experienced similar situation.  The car is booked into our local Ford dealer next month but it's obviously not a known problem as we have discussed with them beforehand and there were a lot of strange looks and scratching of heads.  Due to go back to Spain in May and really worried it won't get fixed.

Dont think you will find many answers on here, not much chance of this country seeing those temps.

I live near Edinburgh and the temperature here regularly goes up to about 25 for one day in July each year. I’ll monitor it that day for you. 😃😃👍

Do they sell the Edge in Spain?  I know they'll probably be a different spec but indicators should be fairly standard.  I can understand the camera overheating sitting directly in the sun but can't really see how the indicators would be affected.

Yes they do sell Edge in Spain.  I wondered if it could be something to do with the camera as yes, that overheating would seem to be a problem.  But are the cameras linked to the indicators?

looks like your car is overheating. Check the level of coolant in your car.
