Mk8 Air Filter

Had a quick look today at the Mk8 air filter, looking to change to K&N.

Nice little clips on the Mk8 instead of the torx screws on the Mk7.5.

The Mk8 air filter and the Mk7.5 are the same shape but unfortunately, the Mk8 filter is around 10mm or so larger on the lenght and width.

Anyone know if K&N have produced a filter for the new model as yet? I can't seem to find one although when searching eBay etc, they don't seem to know what Mk model is what...

Would it affect warranty if you fitted an aftermarket filter and something then broke after it, MAF, turbo, etc?  Realistically they don't make any power difference anyway, I've had several over the years lol.

The panel filters are warranty friendly

Hi.

No they don't invalidate any warranty.

I agree you don't get any power increase or nothing notable but I have always believed there is a slightly better mpg given with a panel filter and there is definitely a different engine/exhaust noise with one fitted.

These differences applied to my last 2 Ford's and my mk7.5.

Don't think KN have released the filters for the new models as of yet.
