Focus noise of car has changed seems a little weaker

Hi guys I have a focus zetec 2005 as I’m about 200 yards away from my house the noise of the car changed ( hard to describe the noise maybe a little bit more rattle) when I popped the bonnet to check for anything obvious it died out a couple of drives managed to drive it home, it’s starting ok now and ticking over fine but noise is still a bit off any ideas ?

Rattling may be low oil.?

You check oil level?

Get it plugged in and see if fault codes have been recorded

Just started it up again this morning and took it around the block it cut out every time I slow down to take the corner started straight back up ( maybe rattling might not have bin the best description) but the sound is a lot different. 

Maybe i willl find a garage that is open on a sunday.

havent got a code reader. I will check oil see if it’s that.
