Would this headliner fit

Featured Replies

Would a 3 door st headliner fit in my 5 door LX?

No, they are shaped for the rear doors so needs to be 5dr to 5dr.

go like for like

I heard the 3dr st headliner does fit . The headliner is the same. This was mentioned on ffoc. Tezza on ffoc stated it does.

Thanks yunii, now I've just got to work out if it will fit in the car for transport.

What car is it ? I fitted in mk2.5 focus but wrong way but it stuck on just a little so tailgate remained open as few inches hanging out but only had quarter mile or less to drive. If you get in the way it fits then it should fit in i think. Drop your rear seats & remove parcel shelve.

Thanks again, Ill be using my mk2 focus to pick it up.

I manged to get the headliner, grab handles, sunglasses holder, front and back interior lights for £53.

Just gutted I messed up the the bid on the visors and visor lights but I'm sure I'll get some in time.

I paid £60 for complete 5dr interior trim & headliner & all lights with liner loom. Very rare to find 5 dr lining & trims. Mint condition.

I picked them up today and have managed to get the sun visors and lights ordered.

Hopefully I'll get some time to fit them next week.

look forward to seeing the pics fella

Hi all

just fitted a st black headlining to my zetec s the only thing you need to be careful of is that the plastic trim is different from the 3 door and 5 door

its all worth the effort though

Liking the ST headlining Darren, this is the next mod on my list along with 300mm front discs, how difficult was it to fit ? Did you do a walk through? TBH it doesn't look like a major job, or am I missing something.

Not too bigger a job just need a extra pair of hands to hold up headlining at times and most of your trim needs to come out. I also was advised to remove seats so I removed front seats and rear seats cushions. Then folded down rear seat backrests. I ended up using original loom off my car as there is a part of the loom that disappeared into dash

That goes plugged into back of fusebox

By the time I got that stage of fitting the headlining I couldn't be bothered diving deeper into the car so I decided to use my own loom.

Fitted mine today, took half a hour.

Just waiting for the sun visors and to finish the wiring.

That's quick did you have to remove your trim panels?

  • 1 year later...

@Ferrit

Was it  difficult to remove the head liner?

How is it fitted/secured? What needs to be removed to remove it?
