Boosteri Posted April 29, 2018 Share Posted April 29, 2018 When changing to summer tyres i notice these aluminium lumbs on shock absorbers, can anybody explain what is purpose of those. The part catalog says vibration, but seems strange to add unsprung mass by alu lumb. Of course the effect is minimal on car like this. ThaiFiesta Posted April 29, 2018 Share Posted April 29, 2018 It’s to reduce NVH (noise, vibration, harshness). Basically a lump within a lump that can move to reduce the transmitted vibration.
