Featured Replies

The time has come I have traded my beloved focus for an ST fiesta, but what size disklok would I need as I want to get one before I pick it up tomorrow morning. Thank you :)

Cheers any other advice for security?

Unclip the OBD port from its mount in the cubby hole under the light switch and tuck it up behind the dash, you can buy dummy ports on eBay to fill the gap.

pull out fuse 19 which powers the OBD port.

get a signal blocking pouch for the remotes.

they're the cheaper things to do, have a look at Pandora alarms or the Autowatch ghost immobiliser.

Does the OBD port cable not have a plug on the other end which would allow complete removal? I guess not

I recall there was a stainless cover which covered the OBD socket, any links to buy one would be appreciated !

A body building course to lift the Disklok on and off. I found mine to be very cumbersome and now use a Stoplock Pro.

There is a steel safe available to secure the OBD port, about £160 fitted. They'll never break into it.

But on  a more serious side, how often do you need access to the OBD port? Just remove it from its mount and hide somewhere under the dash. Thieves don't want to get caught so will not spend time searching for it. Or they will be spending time somewhere else.
