I may be being stupid. What’s the difference between a 1.4i and a 1.4. Is it nothing or is the i for injection. And so will the linked exhaust fit a regular mk6 1.4 with duractec (petrol)

Featured Replies

The I does stand for injection, but all petrols in the UK at least have been fuel injected for over 20 years so it doesn't really mean anything now.

It looks like it'll fit a mk6 1.4, but it looks pretty poor tbh...one review seems to agree...the other review looks fake.  It'll also be very loud which can cause MOT issues.

I don't think that exhaust is for the diesel engines. Looks similar to the hornet exhaust which hornet have not made for the diesels. Like Tom said one of the reviews says it ain't good and it looks like it'll take a lot of mucking about to get it to fit.

I'd probably opt for going to a place which makes custom exhausts.

He says petrol in the title.  It looks like the right one to me, but I still wouldn't buy it lol.

Duratec is the petrol branding, like Duratorq for the diesels.

Yeah lol I know that was trying to say they don't make them for the diesel engines so it's just for petrols 😄
