52 Plate 2002 1.6 Ghia

Featured Replies

I've been informed that this car I have might have some value but I considered it to be fairly worthless. Just trying to guage other peoples opinion ? I have one in blue that has sat on my drive for a year and needs a clean but it was a runner before I neglected it. Will need towing as lost the key, also needs a battery most likely. I know it needed a heater control (very common fault) valve as that's why i stopped using it (i have one) just never fitted it.

I don't think it is worth much. My reasoning is - is it not old enough fiesta model to be collectable ( I assume it is this shape:

A driver looking to buy a Fiesta of this age would typically be someone  without much money and they don't want the higher insurance cost of the 1.6 ghia.

Lost key is a bit of a major problem due to the imobiliser being matched to the chip in the key, so it's not simply a case of a new lockset and key.

If this was a very low mileage car in immaculate condition like it had been kept in a garage and rarely driven someone might buy it as an investment as a future classic but as described it does not sound like that.

I wouldn't get too excited about what you will get for it. And without key and with steering lock engaged you might even find it hard to sell at all as it would cost most people a lot of money even to get it back to their house (unless they chisel steering lock off and tow it on a rope).

Sorry if it sounds a bit brutal

75 quid spares or repair🔧😉 BTW I'm not offering:-)
