Hi guys

Well I have a 2008 focus estate. I don't know how to tell if its a mk2 or 2.5

I want to replace the rear lights possibly some nice after market ones.

But how do I know whick lights fit? Can I buy ones for the normal focus hatch and will they fit the estate??

Simple, if your bonnet has a chrome strip on the edge it's a facelift model (mk2.5) -

If not then it's a mk2 -

The estate ones are a different fit than the hatchback ones.
Estate lights from a mk2 or facelift will physically fit on either mk but the wiring looms are different so you have to get the right ones or be prepared to rewire them.

The MK2/MK2.5 Estate has the same wiring. The MK2/MK2.5 Estate rear lights are fully interchangeable as long as the correct bulb holders are used.

The different wiring is only applicable to the Hatchback.

Sorry to jump on this, I'm new here and can't find where to post this. I see you mentioned  the silver strip means a 2.5 or facelift model. Does that mean my car is a 2.5? Cheers
