Stereo help

Featured Replies

Hi all, just got my first car yesterday, an 06 fiesta, chuffed with it so far however one thing I need to change asap is the stereo, it comes with the cd6000 that doesn't have bluetooth/aux.

I'm not particularly handy, is it easy enough to fix? Seems like you just pop the old one out with the keys, somehow put the fascia on then shove whatever stereo you got in.. am i missing something or is there anything I should consider?

Looks like this is what I need:

https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F173009661424

Planning on grabbing a used stereo from eBay too, anything i should be looking for?

Thanks!

Any aftermarket single or double din radio will fit with the correct fascia adaptor (radio cage needed).
As long as you get the relevant radio specific patch cables to match between the new radio and existing quadlock connector you'll be fine.
Ensure you also get an interface to keep the steering column controls working too.
You may also need an aerial adaptor depending if the aftermarket radio uses a din or iso connector (ford use iso connectors as standard).
