I have an aftermarket stereo in a mk6 fiesta. 

I have been looking for a guide to remove the stock stereo controls from below the left side of the steering wheel. Does anyone know if this is possible and/or how to?

Reason for removal is I would love the extra leg space being 6ft+.

    easy enough to do, just a small flat bladed screwdriver and bend the locking tang to remove.  so, looking at the rear of the switch put screwdriver in centre imbetween switch and steering cowling. this should release the tang and be able to pull switch out sufficent to unplug connector.
