Russ 6334
hi all, just picked up a sierra cosworth 4x4 K plate with 69k miles! driving it down the motorway the speedo was fine then jumped around a bit and hit zero, i suspect the cable is loose or snapped etc, anyone know where it is in the gearbox? thanks
Frembrit
Never had a Cosworth but had a 1990 Sapphire. You should be able to find where it goes through the bulkhead to the speedo, just follow it down to the gearbox. Probably worth checking that it hasn't come loose from the back of the speedo too. Frostie2RTR
The speedo cable runs through the bulkhead, left of the fusebox, across to the rear of the engine across the plastics your engine loom is attached to & drops down the left hand side of the engine. Here it screws into the left drive shaft through a worm drive to run the speedo. I can get pics if needed. Neil
