Class action for Ecoboost failures

Featured Replies

Overheating issues with the Ecoboost won't be news to many, but initiation of the beginning stages for class action against Ford on behalf of affected owners might well be. The PR front face for this is the ecoboom.uk website where you can register your details.

Touch wood we've not any issues with ours, but ours is in a Fiesta and they seem to be significantly less prone to failure than those in the Focus but I thought it worth posting here as the issue does come up from time to time in this forum.

How many people have been affected by this? And how many specifically by the de-gas hose issue?

Nobody knows, but it'll obviously be something that the action will be seeking to try and determine.

Incidentally, I don't think the class action will be limited only to degas hose issues but rather all the common causes that have led to the same outcome.
