isetta
Am I misunderstanding? wouldn't you just use an extension on it if it is not long enough. like this looks like https://www.homedepot.com/p/URREA-3-4-in-Drive-8-in-Long-Socket-Extension-5661/202797100
Treef
If you use an extension you want to tape the socket to it with a bit of gaffa tape because if it comes off in the spark plug recess it's a sod to fish it out
Martin-Fiesta-MK6-1.4
lol, no you misunderstand folks, im talking purely about the socket itself, ofcourse i have the extension to reach into the well
isetta
still confused. why do you care about the length of the socket if you have an extension you can use
Frembrit
As above. If you have a spark plug socket (not a normal one) then it will fit providing you have the correct size (10mm maybe, I dont have a fiesta), just use an extension to reach down. TomsFocus
He wants to know if the spark plug top will be too long...stopping the hex part of the socket reaching the nut of the plug...not sure why this is so confusing! The Mk6 doesn't use any sort of special plugs though, a normal spark plug socket should fit. I tend to use a normal deep socket and fish them out with a magnet to save searching for the spark plug one lol.
