Dashboard replacement.

Featured Replies

Hi Guy’s,

so my friend wrecked his fiesta from 2013.and is going to The scrapyard. But he said If i want anything i can take it off.

So The question is: he had a verry Nice dashboard/dails. The blue one(mk7,5) . And i have The red one. (Mk7)

Is it possible to swap those out? Cause i guess The hardware Will fit. But what do i need to do about The software? Do i need to Reprogram The dash unit with forscan? So Yeah how do i do it?

Or could i Just backup my old bcm and IPC and write it On The new dash?

If you check the back of your speedo/rev counter unit youll find theres only one multi plug socket. On the later units with blue illumination theres two.

Tried fitting the later unit to my car a few weeks back. Although it illuminated and fuel gauge worked etc the car wouldnt start. Reverted back to the earlier cluster and it was fine.

Havent had time to investigate further.

Does the Speedo have to be matched/paired up to the ECU to work?
