The dreaded passenger door open!

My passenger door has got beyond annoying these days with the cluster saying passenger door open! I have to open the door and close at least 5 times. Obvs with this issue central locking dont work untill its closed. Googled this and seems to be a common problem as there is no platic pop out thing for the senser like other cars. Any one had to fix this as i have not seen a fix for this issue yet.
