Fiesta MK6 Slight Misfire Issue

Right. I own a 2008 Fiesta MK6 1.4TDCI which as developed an intermittent misfire, which could also be best described as it misses a beat on odd occasions particularly under acceleration. I have to say this has only developed since I had the air con re-gassed a couple of days ago. I have no idea whatsoever whether this has anything to do with the air con or something else that has developed coincidentally? Unfortunately, because this is intermittent fault, I am unable to identify the problem so thought I'd ask if anyone else has had a similar problem? Any advise would be appreciated.
