Holla46
Hi all, I replaced my very rusty locking wheel nuts with some shiny new Mcgard ones. I could only see 1 listing for the mk2 focus so ordered them when I’ve gone to fit them today the tapered seat is much smaller, it’s the same 60 degree angle but the area of the seat touching the wheel is smaller? Has anyone else found this? Thanks
Gizza11
The Mcgard nuts you have are for aftermarket wheels and not OEM Ford aftermarket wheel seats are indeed smaller seats than OEM .OEM are 28mm.The best thing to do is do a search for OEM locking wheel nuts on eBay .An easy mistake to make as I nearly bought a full set of new solid nuts( the cap less ones) with the small seats until I dropped on the correct ones for OEM wheels
Frembrit
What's the part number of the ones you have? I reckon you need 24212SU (or SL). I bought 24212SL for my old W reg Mondeo ST24, and I now have them fitted to my 2011 Mondeo. From what I can tell, these would fit most Fords with standard "Ford" alloy wheels. Edit: Just found this too https://images-eu.ssl-images-amazon.com/images/G/02/uk-auto/UserGuides/Application_Guide_2014.pdf Edited July 28, 2018 by Frembrit
