cant connect phone to bt on a 2012 ford focus

Hello

I just bought a 2012 ford focus titanium (1.6 ecoboost) 

I has the sony audio system

i cant connect my phone to  bluetooth 

i enter the 4 digit password provided by the system and after ~30 seconds i get "bonding failed" message

I tried several phones (same result) 

I'd really appreciate your help,

Check to see if any other phones are saved in the bluetooth menu.
If there's a few then the system may have reached it's maximum.
Delete all bonded phones and try again.

no phones are saved, previous owner erased all of them
