I can hear a constant rattle when going over bumps. With windows down it sounds like it it on passenger side under the car, a tinny metal sound.

I immediately thought of the heat shields under the car, as that is the sort of metal rattle id expect. Ive had it on axle stands twice and cheched the heat shields and rattled the exhaust but can`t find anything that is causing the rattle.

Does anyone have any ideas or similar experiance of an annoying tinny sounding rattle and its possible causes

    I had the exact same thing, turned out to be the coil spring, part of the bottom coil had snapped and was lying on the seat at the base of the spring
