Hi Guys,

I'm looking to get a fiesta ST next year when I turn 21, all things going well I should have 3 years no claims. On average what would you guys say the price could potentially be?

Use a comparison site.  That's what you'll pay. What someone else pays is irrelevant.

Sadly it's a postcode lottery aswell as your job. A scaffolder pays more than a retail worker. You can trick it slightly. Like for me I can alter between mechanical engineer, factory worker or plant fitter and they all come out at least £150 different from each other

Luke is right and im 49 and i have the same problem as i don't live in but i live very very close to a high risk area (post code) i pay a

good £100 more in some cases than my mate who has same insurance group car and he lives 1 mile away but different post code.

Being a ST and your age i still say it wont be that cheap.

Also these sites online are ok for a rough price but most of them are the minimum stuff on them and most cases say ring and i would say in your case

it would say ring being a ST and 21,i have tried a few online but i always have to pay more as i want other stuff added.

Best to go around different comparison sites. I'd also say give sky insurance and adrian flux a ring as Id heard they are good. Location is a big factor. Last year I compared my address to a address outside London and it was about £1000 cheaper without a black box from the same insurer. A year later it was about £100 different strangely which also shows the more NC you have the lower your insurance gets. I think also as your 21 it might be more cheaper as your out of that 'danger' age.

With me I'm paying £960 with legal cover for my mk6 fiesta zetec s 1.6 TDCi with 3 years no claims at 20. I did find that in 2 years time insurance for some cars become a lot cheaper for me for example a BMW E90 325i (2.5 inline 6) is about £1100 whereas now its over £2000.

Add a second older more experienced driver to the policy, for some reason it always attracts a discount.

Or more, I had parents and grandparents on mine at one point, as many as it will let you add, lol.

I don't know if this is true but I heard having female drivers as additional driver(s) might lower it more. With me I have my dad as my second driver, mum don't drive.

Hi.

Please feel free to give us a try for insurance if you like. If you wanted to PM me some contact details I'd be happy to arrange for one of my quotes team to give you a call back.

Regards,

Dan.

Dan - My renewal is up at the end of October and I'm looking to add some mods to my car after this time. I should have 1 years no claims, what are you guys like when it comes to mods? Heard a few people say you are welcome to modding but not sure what your prices are like?

Hi Will,

Yes we have a number of schemes with insurers that cover all modifications on a like-for-like basis.  The best thing to do is give us a call nearer to your renewal.  You may also add mods throughout the policy, usually without any additional cost, unless those added significantly increase the BHP.

Thanks

Dan

Only thing I would be thinking of that significantly increases BHP would be a remap. Increase of around 35bhp, do you have any idea how much additional this would cost (estimate) or do you not count that as 'significant'?

Hi again,

That will make a difference but we do have insurers that are specialists in covering modifications.  Often these insurers are cheaper than for standard cars as the owners' tend to be enthusiasts and are less likely to make a claim.

We can't really take a guess at the cost - best thing to do is give us a call nearer  the time on the  number on this site.

Thanks,

Dan

Hi Dan.

Mine is up soon in December 2011 fiesta Titanium 1.6 but when i had the car 4 years ago i always mention that it had a passenger airbag key off/on fitted all done by ford.

Also the switch was fitted on the heater panel so it lights up saying its off/on which has the Traction Control on there to turn off/on.

I know its a mod but there standard on cars now as i looked at loads of Fiestas in showroom with them on from new,its always a problem when i renew.

I never had it the people did who had it before for some reason,is this a big problem as there standard on cars and i only knew through looking on Etis as i would of had insurance and not of known and informed them it was a extra.

Ryan....Have you ever had a go in a ST as the prices should be a bit lower in 12 months,i think the MK8 is amazing.

Would you look at the new one or the 7.5 one.

I recently just changed from DirectLine to AdrianFlux and saved over £400. So I would certainly recommend giving them a call.....It did take quite a while, and I hate how AdrianFlux's website *Constantly* redirects you to "Oh give us a call it's cheaper" when all you want to do is just get a quick quote online, get rid of that bs.....But I did save a lot of money, so I guess I have to thank them for that.

I'm trying to get a proof of my club membership for Adrian Flux but it's proving very difficult. They don't like the letter I sent nor the screen shot of my account and finally nor do they like a screenshot of the email I was sent CONFIRMING my membership. What can I do?? 😞

Hi Stu,

Thanks for the message and I'm surprised that we haven't acknowledged your club membership from any of those mentioned above.

If you could message me your full name / postcode I will ensure that we have you showing as a club member.

Kind Regards,

Dan
