Problem starting

My Fiesta is having problems starting, I have had a new starter Motor fitted, but still having problems, My battery was charged up and started fine for a few days, then it wouldn't start unless I got a jump start, after this the car would be ok for a ew days but then need another jump start, the lights and radio etc all work fine but the electrics sound odd, for example when I turn the ingnition key the doors will  sound like they are unlocking. I've been told it could be the alternator, if so would the  car still start for a few days then stop?

Ah I didn't see this post.

To me this sounds like the alternator not charging the battery properly. You charge the battery using portable charger and that means it can start a few times before it needs charging again.

Either way you need a multimeter to check this properly. When did you last change the battery?
