Kowsmou
I had an 05 focus a few years ago and the washer jets leaked rainwater into the spark plug pots. Common problem apparently. I've just bought another focus, 2010 1.6 zetec. I was wondering if this design fault has been resolved in the facelift?
JW1982
This problem has never been solved completely. During production of the Focus MK2 the washer jets have been superseded by a modified version which had a better seal between the washer jet and the bonnet. However during time the seal wears and shrinks which causes the same issues like the old washer jets did. The best method to solve this issue permanently is removing the washer jets and applying a small amount of silicone sealant between the washer jets and the bonnet.
