I keep coming back to fiestas for my extremely low mileage i do (hence the small engines) and the fact i get a relatively high spec at a price im happy with - Possibly a focus next time though.

nice motor Zain they look good in black we did have one in jeans blue for 5 yrs i have a 2010 focus tdci now ,i wouldnt have another mine was a friday car ,i have had many in my 50+ yrs including capri's 1.3 to 3ltr cortinas 1.3 to 2.5, escorts granada's zephyr's [didnt need to get in the back in them if you know what i mean]

Thanks Charles, I am considering getting a mk6 fiesta ST in about 2 years in white. The London mayor is planning on charging people in London with diesels made before 2015 and really old petrols probably before 2001 in 2021. Might sell the car a year before and hopefully before it depreciates a lot and get the ST which ain't part of the charge. The 2 litre engine isn't bad compared to other 2 litre cars in terms of running plus the STs ain't bad for what they are going for.

Not going to beat Pete's impressive list in the second post but I've had a few:

1980 Cortina Estate automatic. A gift from my dad so I wasn't complaining...

1986 Fiesta 1.4S. The only car I've ever bought from new. Couldn't quite afford an XR2.

1989 Sierra 1.6L. Company car cascaded from a salesman who'd trashed it. Still did over a ton.

1994 Mondeo 1.8 Ghia. New company car. Signal Red which looked pink in some light...

1986 Orion 1.6i Ghia. Back to private ownership. Fond memories of having 125mph on the speedo across the German autobahns.

1995 Mondeo 2.0 Ghia. Bought at 43k, added 100k, engine now in kit car with another 20k on it. 

2001 Focus 1.6 automatic. The Mrs' car but drive it quite a bit.

2000 Mondeo 2.0 Ghia. Put 100k on that one too.

2007 Mondeo 2.0 Ghia diesel. Fuel savings over petrol wiped out by new injectors. Electrical issues so it nearly caught fire. Sadly only "nearly".

2010 Focus 1.8 Titanium. Good solid only recently replaced by...

2015 Focus ST3.
