narbar
Hi! Im hoping you can help me, from my understanding on the 2008 and upward 1.6 TDCI 90 BHP engines have EGR valves. So I believed my 2007 would not have one to my pleasure! This was until my car has threw up a fault code of P042F which seems to suggest it does infact have a EGR valve. Im hoping you can help me clear up the confusion on whether my car has a EGR valve or if the information ive read in the past has been aload of rubbish! thanks again for your help! narbar
thank you for the reply, the fault is showing the egr valve is jammed, do you believe a good clean will free it up?
Luke4efc
Usually does the trick provided the valve isn't passing.
narbar
Thanks for the replies! Would a dip style carb cleaner be ok? Or are there electrical connections i need to be aware of? Thanks Dean
