Richard 180553
I purchased a Focus STLineX last September and I had also seen these GPF notices coming up on the dash read out. Having done a few longer runs, the sign has not reappeared. I will keep my fingers crossed.

You could argue all the manufacturers are cheats as they all programmed cars to pass the tests in the lab, giving results that couldn't be achieved in real life. VW were daft enough to get caught out and admit it. You could argue that the real culprits are the people who come up with unrealistic emission standards and test procedures in the first place. Looks like jlr have been caught out this time with the co2 emmisions according to sky news.
Andyr55
DonH have you tried driving in Sport Mode? Not ideal I know but I have had only a few messages since I have used Sport. Ford really need to own up and get his sorted.

I see VW bossman Herbert Diess has shot them in the foot again by twice using a play on words making reference to the N**i motto "Arbeit macht frei" during a speech to hundreds of VW managers. Did the forum censure the word N a z i ? It's not exactly a swear word is it? Edit - It did, so I assume that: I S I L I S I S I R A a l - Q a e d a V W and V A U X H A L L are also banned words?

Funny thing is some car related words are even sencored! Brake bleed nipples and timing ***** (opposite of advance) for example... Also feel sorry for anyone called ***** as they have to use their full name of Richard... Edit - Oh, apparently nipples is allowed now!

Freeze
In Finland (maybe these updates are locally tinkered to suite best?) I've heard that the software change includes more sophisticated use of DPF's pressure difference sensor sensing, when driving in cold weather. Andyr55
My Titanium 1.0 125 appears to be behaving itself at the moment. Not sure if that’s a good thing? Previously the exhaust filter message would come on nearly every day. Driving pattern same. Low mileage 1200 since Oct. will this software update be applied across the board I wonder? Maybe when I get service next..?
andy2086
Car picked up this morning, software fix applied, along with another couple of updates (ABS module and hill start module iirc). They didn’t manage to fix my Ford PassConnect problem, but that’s for another thread.I guess now only time will tell whether the update has cured the problem.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Jesper
Having the same problem in Denmark, new car leased with low milage to short trips.
