vinnyvangough
Check your gearbox oil level. I have heard that these suffer when the gearbox oil level is low. Is it easier when the car is warm?

Ford123
Hey, 1st and reverse are usually harder to get into due to the gear box internal layout. But if its getting bad its more then likely you clutch. If the bitingpoint is high this is also a way of telling its on its way out. Another thing to try is pump the pedal a few times before selecting gear, this will see if you have a clutch fluid leak, if pumpin makes it easier then you have a leak, if not it a worn clutch plate. Let me know how ya get on : )

Looking in the haynes manual it suggests using axle stands so when I raise the car to check it, the car will be level. So my first job is to purchase some axle stands lol. Thanks mate John

CAR PARTS EXPRESS
Oh Well, Ford specs change all the time so if it says on the bottle mtx75 you are correct in that is your box so should be ok...you prob only need a small top up anyway.
